Director of the Energy and Sustainability Lab, Intel

Tomm V. Aldridge is the Director of the Energy and Sustainability Lab within Intel Labs Europe, where he leverages his passion for efficiency and sustainability to drive research and innovation. Since joining Intel in 1995, Tomm has contributed to numerous product and research initiatives, advancing technology to create a more sustainable and efficient society.

Tomm’s accomplishments at Intel include:

• Developing Itanium server system architecture

• Leading advanced power technology research and product pathfinding teams

• Heading platform efficiency research initiatives to improve energy performance

In his current role, Tomm focuses on integrating Intel’s cutting-edge products into sustainable, technology-assisted solutions that address global challenges.

Prior to his work at Intel, Tomm gained valuable experience in high-performance computing (HPC) through a successful startup and developed expertise in supercomputer system technology and power supply design.

Tomm holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and is a Senior Member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).
