Matt Lecar
Principal Consultant, GE Energy
Matt Lecar is a Principal Consultant at GE Energy’s Smart Grid Center of Excellence, where he advises utility clients on developing business cases, strategies, and roadmaps for deploying smart grid technology. As GE’s Project Manager for a U.S. Trade Development Agency (USTDA)-funded study, he collaborates with the China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI) to identify smart grid best practices and establish standards and regulations.

With a long and accomplished career in the energy utility industry, Matt has made significant contributions, including:
• Spearheading new product development at Pacific Gas & Electric Company
• Establishing partnerships between U.S. energy technology startups and Electricité de France Group
